That was a monumental mistake ;)
Well unless it was a Wilhelm Reich Orgone Accumulator, though I'm sure a different crowd might still be interested.

I remember in '97 the stand alone instrument looked promising in that Doepfer and ASys were still pretty basic and new analog was not something seen all the time. He had a filter that described similar to the Xpander. It reminded me vaguely of sort of Electro Harmonix in terms of casing. Does anyone know if he used a CEM chip like Oberheim and Doepfer do or is it discrete?

Later I saw some modular systems on ebay UK. They looked very DIY, so I guess if he hadn't have had the SOS article and those seemingly pro manufactured units in tiny numbers those modulars would be like many typical DIY modulars.

The filter in the Enigiser seem to be discrete and have a different character comparing to cem or ssm imho.

Mine is n° 51, bought in 1997 (without patchbay) it was sold £450 at that time.

VERY VERY fat with a subbass level, with "filter (over)drive" and "VCA (over)drive", acid, gritty, grainy... 15 filter types... pure madness :nana:

You can hear my 2 little demos of it here :

If someone would buy mine, i won't let it go for less than $2'000 or 2500 I think. But anyway I'll never sell this rare collector ! :hail:

Yes it is discrete, but everything is made with small SMD components.
I opened it to see.

More precisely, mine is serial n° 0051.

As if Geoff Waterstone planned to build 9999 units

But there are less than 100 units made.

There seem to be some gaps in the serial numbers too, never heard of 20 30 40 series for example.

Imagine there are only 10 to 20 units made, logically the second-hand price would be higher than EMS Synthi stuff

less 2 oscillators though... But :

- semi modular
- 15 filter types
- 3 envelopes
- 2 overdrive
- positive and negative Env & LFO in the filter section.

How much could we sell it ? $8'000

I have 13,14 and 57. Some of the unmarked has the number written with a marker on the inside.

Yes I noticed that, mine is no33, so there is a 30 series for sure.

This is the number of the Enigisers ive seen here and on the net: 1, 13, 14, 18, 33, 50, 51, 57, 58

If there was only 58 build then its really rare

Still no sign of the illusive 20 and 40 series.

That's very nice, I've never seen one of those before. I love the minimalism of the design!
