Here's today's live sonic sculpting of a Blippoo and Easel. The Easel sequencer is driving the Blippoo. . .

DAMMIT!

Thats it! If Richard and Todd attest to these boxes - I have to get my hands on one! Sigh - there goes the H9 Max budget... now to the task of finding one!

Rob will very probably do another run in a couple of months ... just get on the list, if you don't take the Blippoo in the end it will quickly find another owner. And no € to put down up front.

ha, well, in some ways the blippoo is one of the most important instruments I have had, as I was all ready to give up modular synths when it arrived and it turned me around somehow. that said, the Blippoo is just a patch in a box really. it just happens to be a patch I have found to be endlessly useful for my devious purposes, and whose principles are far more widely applicable.

I have to admit that after 6 years I still don't quite understand it either

A question...

Does the combination of Epoch's Benjolin and Twin Peaks equal a Blipoo Box?

Inquiring minds want to know.

THanks

It would be close, and you'd need a sample and hold too...

By the time you've paid for it all, you might as well get a Blippoo (but you'll have to wait!)

I love my Epoch Benjolin, and have similarly thought about tricking it out with Twinpeak

I've had a Eurorack benjolin since it came out... so buying Twin Peaks would be more cost effective for me.

Thanks for the response... good to know I'm mostly there...

Close but not equal. If I am not mistaken the Twin Peaks uses different slopes in each incarnation (Euro, 5U, Blippoo). Also little things like the IR sensor of the Blippoo, S&H...

No. To add to what the others wrote, there are 2 runglers in the Blippoo, but only one in the Benjolin.

Go for the "real" thing! 8-)

and the runglers are setup quite differently in the benjolin, the two machines do not and cannot make the same kinds of patterns

And the two make such a wonderful pair! With the Blippoo controlling the Benjolin and vice versa.

Cheers,
Lukasz

Apart from the technical differences, for me the biggest thing is the user interface. The Blippoo as Rob makes it now is just great for playing. Makes a huge difference to me. And being standalone it is great to take on the road as well.

I have the Epoch Modular Eurorack Benjolin as well as a (very nice!) Rob Hordijk 5U modular. Love and use them all but the Blippoo just hits a sweet spot imho...

Just received mine last month. I like it a lot, but it doesn't fit into my music or setup as well as it would have when I ordered it 18 months ago or so ;) Long story short, it's up in the for sale section. If anyone is looking for a banana blippoo box and wants to skip the line this is your chance. I received it in November so it's brand new.

That went fast.

I went out to visit my elderly mother.

I came back and it was come and gone.

True story.

Just to let people know, next batch is to expect end of next summer.
There might be a possibilty of a spring batch, but uncertain.
Just got the info from Mr. Hordijk himself...

Thanks for the info, that actually works a lot better for me in terms of money. I was a little worried my spot was going to come up and I wasn't going to have the funds ready

So I just asked to be put on the list. Quick question for those who already have them. I'm seeing some of these with 1/4" jacks and some with banana jacks - is this a special request thing or aftermarket mods? Functionally identical?

Normally, you specify which connectors you want when you ask to be put on the list... Rob offers these two options.
To my knowledge, the difference is only the connectors...

This is going to sound stupid - from software - from limited software - from one-trick pony software (although I dont think of it as such!)... Richard, do you have access to an iPad/iPhone?
