Stillson Hammer MK II Slider LED Replacement

Post by ether » Fri Nov 20, 2020 11:05 pm

Anyone know if the LEDs on the sliders of the SHMKII just pull off, which I believe is true of some other modules with this type of slider?

A few of mine are dead and need replacing.

They are discontinued and a new version seems to be in development. But you can find them used for reasonable prices. I just bought one via Modulargrid, where one is still listed (UK though) and another one has been offered for sale last week. I am not sure, but to me it seems Modulargrid is more a european thing, while Muffwiggler and Reverb are more used in the US.

EDIT: Just had a short look and found one at Analoguehaven, new and reduced price...

I was actually talking about the replacement LEDs. Haha. Apologies for not being more clear.

Ups...yes, that's what the thread is about.

It seems that I am still a bit emotionally involved in finding one... :hihi:

These will work.

You will need to trim the legs. Just use the factory LED as a template after you pull it out. You don't have to be extremely precise but make sure that the shorter leg remains the shorter leg.
