Was this the difference between mk 1 and mk2? Or was there anything else?

The first version got all outputs available.... what I like about that is that I can send those output at different place. I like to feed the BL a complexe sound and distribute all outputs to seperate lines like Lowpass gates - Delay - ringMod - anything.

the BL MKII you can control the aliasing :yay:
I'm very curious to see how it operates at audio rate

the BL MKII has a kind of mixer similar to the qotile so and you got a seperate mixed output too... so this is very cool.
Dont know if some kind of phase concelation will be possible since the pots are attenuverter

BL MKII has a clock button !?!?

the BL MKII has this '' ? ''
probably it's just like the notch of the first version.

in any cases I'll have both for sure :D

Ah, took me a while to figure it out...

Bionic Lester mk 1 Expander is integrated in the mk 2
"Each 2-pole filter section has an attenuverting mixer for its three outputs: lowpass, bandpass, and a selection of either allpass, notch, or highpass. Both sections may be patched in series, or routed (cable-free) in parallel with a balance knob on the mix output."
Yes, I like the 6 outs as well. Was hoping the mk2 had 8 outs actually, with a dedicated All-pass out.

The two CV inputs (0-5V) below the Frequency knobs are for Frequency and... alias?
:despair:

Been a while since anything was posted on this. Maybe the delay is because of a redesign to include the individual outs in addition to the mixer. I would definitely buy if that were the case.

The months, actually years, are drifting by!

Two and a half years since initial mention... I'm close to abandoning all hope :sadbanana:

Bionic Lester mk2 got redesigned a few weeks ago because the switched-capacitor device we used in the MK1 has become more scarce and expensive (combined with the extra features of the mk2, it would have pushed the module towards an unacceptable $600 price). I designed a different, hybrid solution that is more flexible and less expensive, and still delivers the character that you would expect. This time, you get dual resonance controls and a greatly improved output mixer that makes sense from a musical perspective (each filter lets you crossfade between a choice of LP and HP (notch), allpass and unfiltered (phaser) , or bandpass and unfiltered (for boost and cut)). Then, you can crossfade between each of the filter sections' final outputs.

I hope to get the thing into production soon.. it will be far easier now that we aren't using scarce parts, but I've got some firmware work to do on other projects first.

I have a BL, Bi-n-Tic, and Synchrodyne. The BLmk2 is next up for my switched cap filter fetish.

An allusion to a place that exists only in our mind, in our senses, that is ever-changing and mutable, but is nonetheless real. It is delimited by the references of the horizon, by the physical limits, defined by light, and it happens in time.

I'm happy to hear the MKII differs from the first.
I'm working on an auto-feedback audio demo vid :hmm:
Want to complete this before the MKII is released.
The sound scape of this filter is just unbelievable.
And can't wait to hear it's MKII brother.

I'd still grab a BLmk2 just to stay in series, as every other IME module I own is a mk2 [SH, PH, HD, DA, TS w/ASOT, Polivoks]

oh well. I'd just be happy with a filter eventually.

I assume he is focusing on the HD MKIII and the Andore LPG. But yeah, it'd be nice to have some news.

Interesting, I wonder why he switched form the switched capacitor design to fully digital? Or maybe he didn't? I have no idea. :hmm:

I was after a OG version, but I guess I’ll hold out for the mk3 version :omg:
