HERTZ DONUT MKIII

Post by bunq » Tue Mar 19, 2019 8:00 am

I just wanted to share some love for this beautiful instrument, very versatile, incredible for industrial noises and percussions shapings. Here are some videos I made with it :

All envelopes and LFOs from FH-2 too? Modular as sound source only (VCOs, Filters, VCAs)?

I have one coming my way (bought it last week at musicstore.de), but I'm afraid I'll have to return it right away for the firmware update because I don't have a pickit3. On the official site it says the pickit3 is an inexpensive tool, but it's €50,- here. Or live with the fact that the sliders have issues... Is this concern valid?

I just got my HDIII today and it was still on version 1.0. Didn’t seem to be a big deal, but maybe after I have it in the system and run it through it’s paces I’ll feel differently. Probably should grab a pickit3 regardless. I have a healthy amount of harvestman in the rack now and should probably keep them up to date :hmm:

Anyway I think you’ll still be happy with v1.0. It is quite the beast.

go to ebay for a pickit3, as long as it's the correct one (read description ofc)

I got mine to Sweden from China for 11$ shipped, should be the same to you.

Worked to upgrade the HD mk2 with, at least!

Really no big deal. sometimes the rotary encoder doesn't behave exactly like it should but it works. I find this osc very inspiring, maybe you should take the time to try it well before eventually returning it

didn't the new firmware update fix that encoder issue?

edit: oh duh. i guess would help if i read the posts.

i had no problems w/the first firmware. it's surprisingly easy to get around the module. very logical. sounds fantastic
