Kermit mkIII: quad LFO, osc, envelope, S&H, random, and :omg: :omg: :omg: :omg:

Reading over the manual this indeed seems more than capable of being a whole synth voice with a VCA. Kermit seems to benefit by far the most of the MkIII screen/presets I think, due to its sheer range of functions. Or hell maybe its depth was enabled by those to begin with, because otherwise without those, it'd be such a pain in the ass to try to remember little click combinations to navigate routing, and having no way to swap over all roles on the outs (such as from quad env to quad LFO) in one click. I can easily see half the presets on mine simply being set as quads of each of the modes as a canvas to start with. Since they're slightly similar in function:HP I can't help but compare it to Intellijel Quadrax, and Quadrax is truthfully kind of awkward to navigate to get it to do internal stuff.

Also can we get mA specs, considering it's coming out so soon (apparently about two weeks)? I mean I can take a guess: 100-150 +12v and ~50 -12v - but it'd be nice to know.

yeah, would be nice, but the first kermit came out 6 years ago and we still don't have real specs for that one either :despair:

This module looks ridiculously good.

What kind of waves are in the bank?

I was hoping I could use one of the channels as some sort of synced trigger generator with multiplication/division of the master clock if one of the waves is a square wave

I had initially planned on getting Pamela's New Workout but may get this instead.

Check out the manual. It doesn't specify but I gurantee there's a square. If not, you can upload custom waves. Have at.

there's a couple great wavetables that'll do divisions and euclidean rhythms here called Clock Multiplier 0.1 and Euclidean that'll do what you want too: https://waveeditonline.com/index-5.html

yeah except nobody's going to have to worry about loading in wavetables to hack clock-divided LFOs. that was just a clever experiment done for the e352/e370 (maybe also disting mk4) because they aren't designed to be able to sync to a clock when running at LFO rate. but kermie the third can sync to external clock and you can have any of his 4 outputs running at a division or multiplication of that.

Scott can be a tad cryptic...took me forever to get an answer about the original Kermit (90mA), but an educated guess is that it probably won’t be more than the HDiii, or about 150mA. At least it had better not be, since I just snagged one :fap:

i was planning on measuring it when my showed up. i've actually been meaning to measure all my HM/IME things since i'm fairly certain a lot of the MG numbers are off..

@pighood - i always though 90 was a guess by someone..was that actually an official number?
