Feedback Console - Homicide Censor

Post by vidret » Sun Feb 02, 2020 10:54 am

I’m really feeling the need for something similar to this in my rack.

Anyone got info on when/if it’s coming or similarly featured modules?

Agreed. Envelope flowers are the best module ever.
For the tyme being, grab a half dozen King Slenders.

Anyone mind explaining to me what this is actually supposed to do? It looks interesting, feedback routing is fun, not sure how envelope followers play into it though :hmm:

i can't speak for other people but i figure i might use it as building a CV feedback route parallel to the audio route.
The fact that whatever wild sounds you make using this turns into potential control for the rest of the system is pretty interesting.

I have a 6U and i'd love to get more out of my VCA's/mixers than just putting stuff into it, basically.

This thing's been in prototype phase for lord knows how long; I'm not even sure if it's a standalone module or a theoretical expander for the Evin 209 / Stilton Adapter (it looks like it could be either/or). It also wins the award for "coolest module name ever" hands-down, I think.

Maybe one day it'll happen in some successor form, perhaps as part of a revamped mixing/feedback console setup along with the (also prototype-phase) Escalation Dominance, which I heard started the MkIII system to begin with. The absence of news on all of those makes me wonder if their concepts may all be unified one day. For example, HC in an updated form could perhaps be more of a compact/multi-layered format like the Andore Jr or Kermit MkIII, especially if merged into another concept. Even so it looks like there is already a considerable roadmap ahead with Andore Jr, Malgo MkIII and Volkmire's Inferno, so any news at all about this or Escalation would be most notable.

My unreliable memory remembers that Scott mentioned something in one of his more recent videos that the HC was perhaps only going to be built by special request, perhaps for a few friends, or something like that.

I for one would love one (regret selling my Evin 209). Is there enough interest for us to cajole him with a small group buy?

if there is, i'm so definitely in.

I read in a recent interview that it might be on the way (perfect circuit interview?) so maybe just hold out.

I got a rebel tech mix 04 in the meantime
