Perhaps crazy to have as a knob but depending on what dsp the granular engine is running on it might be cool to have per grain pitch envelopes w. attack and decay time jitter...?

This is going to be the first 40+HP module.

Not quite Image :tu:

And the thing is, I'd clear 50HP of space for a kickarse granulizer :nana:

I think 56HP is an acceptable upper limit

didn't herr Jaeger say it would be 28hp? did i miss something? being so early on in the development stage i could see this module expanding. i'm way too exciting for this thing considering we won't see it for at least another year hahaha...

It would be brilliant if this could be 32hp or less so I could have a stand-alone granular processor in a mini-case (if the current draw is low enough for that sad little power supply).

That's the idea behind my chosen panel size!

Wow, this is very interesting! I imagine sending grains out to be reverb-mashed by zdsp and quite possibly fft modules that might surface sometime in the future... We're in for a crazy ride guys!
Grains n' ZDSP sounds like my kind of sonic recipe :goo:

you make this shit as big as you want to governor, those grains need a lot of space to bounce around in

I would really be into this too!

I use the Telephone effect on my OP-1 and it does really well through an AUX on my mixer. You can actually run 2 at once and really get some strange granular effects, but CV would make life better :)

I'll try to show the thing at NAMM. I spent the last couple months fleshing out the platform that this and the rest of the new modules run on, and I'm not exaggerating when I say that I have already designed things based on the tech that are far more intense than the spec for this module. So it's really just a matter of making the memory card interface work right (new hammerhoid benefits from this as well) and figuring out what I want to do for a display. So I am interested in hearing what kinds of useful parameters you guys would like to see on the panel. Right now I plan the obvious controls for number of grains, overlap, window shape, synchronization, and output spread with extensive randomization control, so you can construct truax-like formations in real time with much larger sets of data.
