Seems like a new project for me.
With the PH MKII on it's way... we'll probably never see the super expander. :bang:

It's supposed to be compatible with both and from the last things the Governor has posted here the intent is to release them at the same time.

Hi,

First post on Muffs :nana:

The solution about the lack of expanders can be to burn the original chip?

Is possible? same procedure as the rom expanders?
The EEPROMs are of a different type. The factory ROM socket accepts a 25LC1024, and the expander ROMs are 25LC512. Unfortunately the serial communications between each are slightly different (and the Piston selects this based on the physical presence of an Expander board), so you would have to burn the data onto a 25LC1024, and then include another ROM's worth of data in the HEX file if you wanted anything else to be there when you did the front-panel A/B selection.

I understand that new expanders will be in stock at all fine rom dining establishments within a couple weeks.

I'm looking for the wave 256 software to burn some roms, but the sonic spot link isn't working. Does anyone have this file or a working link? Thanks!

Just got the programmer board (gotta hunt down the expander) keen to see how this all works but I can't seem to find the 256 software. Anyone got a copy?

I went through this some time ago, so trying to jog my memory...but I was successful making roms just using Audacity, Hex Workshop, and the PICkit software. Didn't use wave256 at all. But I was using a PC. I think this thread focuses on the challenges of using a Mac.

But here's a copy in case it's what you need. Good journey!
