thanks for getting back to me,
ahhhh, yes, it says 1k on the circuit board, allrighty!

But about #2 - I get you, but there were already pre-soldered capacitors (7V 10 16V) ...
So, the slot is already filled...
Was wandering if I should replace them...

I have two DIY questions about the ADDAC214.
The resistor value should be marked on the printed circuit board. Odds are it is the resistor that controls the LED brightness. If so it will be that same as the ones used for the other three LEDs.

The other two parts are electrolytic capacitors for the power portion. They are mounted on the board with the power socket on the side the power socket was soldered onto. They are polarized components so make sure you orient them correctly. See the photo in the guide at step 8.
