EYESY - Critter & Guitari

Post by SPIKE the Percussionist » Tue Mar 31, 2020 11:39 pm

have you guys seen this new visual noiz thing?

it just looks like an ETC with a composite output.

anyone know anything more about it or if it's supposed to be better in some way?

every example in the demo is just presets from an ETC.
(i know those presets well. i have two ETC's)

UPDATE/EDIT: found a bit more info under the FAQ:

The EYESY looks similar to the Critter & Guitari ETC Video Synth...how are they related?

The EYESY is a close relative to our older ETC video synth, and adds some cool new features:

• Composite Video Output (in addition to the HDMI output)
• Improved processor speed and RAM (uses Raspberry Pi Compute Module 3+).
• Updated programming and file management functions over WiFi.

(To be sure, the ETC is no longer in production. The EYESY takes its place in our product line.)

Well that makes things easier to integrate with LZX stuff. I may be in the market for one of these. Thanks for the heads up!

Holy shirt I can’t wait for this thing. Shame it can’t record video though. I’ll need to start looking for a capture card.

Has anyone received their Eyesy yet? I got a shipping alert and it was supposed to arrive today -- but now UPS says Monday. Awwww... I was planning to spend the weekend learning how to wiggle it.

I'd be keen to hear other's impressions if you've received yours!

Not yet but can’t wait. Apparently they’ve made the first hundred and I’m in the 200’s. Lucky ;)

Please post your thoughts once you’ve played with it.
