saw this the other day. a custom built, analogue modular "image processor" from the 70's.
pretty impressive graphics at the time!
generates fantastic organic textures and looks really cool.

first patch is impressive, wondering how to do all this spiral and rotation on an fully analog LZX system.
I suppose this patch is pretty based on some feedback use.

That first video was a collaboration between Dan Sandin, Tom DeFanti and Mimi Shevitz. Dan created the analog video device called the IP (which a lot of early LZX modules are based on). It is what made the colors, shadows, etc... Tom created a digital image generation language, on a computer, called GRASS. It's what created the triangles and spirals in that video. So the video was a hybrid of analog and digital video systems.
