Kinda cheating by using Lumen instead of an actual analog synth, but i'm working up to the real deal. The workflow is pretty much the same, and the sounds are from my Mother 32, so I think that's extra brownie points.

Threw this one together last night.

(edit:been a while since I used a BB forum-- how on earth do the video tags work?)

try this. remove the s from HTTPS, and link to the original video instead of the embedded file.

CRT/camera feedback with new-to-me Sima SFX-9 & Optex Vision-400 in the signal chain. Audio is matrix mixer/pedal feedback combined with free running patch created in SunVox. Fade in/out added in post. No other effects or processing added.

that looks good! I don't know those mixers / FX equipment. Do they have other effect features that the mx10 / ave5 mixers?

Thanks! Ironically, I'm not familiar with the mx10/ave5! I believe both the SFX-9 & Vision-400 were made for the hobbyist/semi-professional market. Definitely not professional broadcast equipment.

The SFX-9 has basic mixing functions and digital effects:

The Optex Vision-400 (also sold under the CamLink name) is a basic enhancer type device with fade & wipe controls. It does not mix video:

Output of two cameras (CCD & Newvicon) pointed at one CRT combined using "dirty" mixer (two pots in a box) & Sima SFX-9 mixer w/keying & other built-in effects. Recorded in one take with no post processing other than fade in/out. Audio from separate passive 3x3 matrix mixer/pedal feedback session.

Not synthesis this time but a quick experiment on video feedback, really loving this technique.

Here is my first try with video stuff while jamming. The video flow is recorded in a cheap cctv recorder (which cut clips every minutes and downsize the resolution like crazy).

Haha, it works well with the blocky patterns. I must dig out my cheap videocap dongle and play with that again someday. There's a lot of great FSU video gear like that. Thanks.

Trying to establish a decent setup for recording. Not there yet, but a bit closer than a few days ago. 8-)

It's a bit long, but you know – time flies when you're having fun. If anyone cares to have a listen as well, headphones are recommended.

Cheers,
Lukasz

Here's another one. This time with Rob Hordijk's Benjolin as the main player. This is the last one (today), I promise :guinness:

Any input/feedback would be much appreciated. Even a simple "been there, done that" will be helpful at this stage of my video explorations…

Cheers,
Lukasz

Some very tasty Benjolin action, there. No "BTDT" from me. I only recently got my Gould 'scope out of storage. Until I get the right connectors, I can only test it using composite video signals. Nothing as fun as your vids. Thanks.
