thanks

Merci Florent 8_)

the initial plan is 6+1 modules :
2vco, wogglebug, + new jag
then later borg, envelator, mixolator
and 1u strip of diy, attenuators, mixers, vumeter, bantam adapter...

and a beautifull case build by someone well known around, inspired by an old big synth

will send some jam here then... but not before 2 months.
patience :hyper:

De rien, if I may, you can start with 1 VCO and the Borg for the fun of having a voice straight on...and then you can add the 2nd VCO later...still, starting with the JAG is an excellent idea because the double joystick is really an integrale part of the WIARD approach...I do really enjoy them. I have the old version, but lurch a lot at the new one
You will notice the signals are pretty hot, so careful with the mixer levels  reason why I go the mixo, still I cannot speak of the envelator, I do not have one...

Yup, you got it!

here's a video with the same patch

:-) the patch is if i recall correctly, triger out from the snare on the exfade cycling through the sequantizer, sequantizer controlling the classic vco. classiv vco in low mode sen through borg, borg modulated by woggle left, vco modulated by self slightly, waveform city being controlled by metropolis that's being stepped by the gate 1 of the sequantizer, and modulated by lfo 2 from the borg, and then into borg right side, modulated by the woggle right, woggle bugs both clocks are coming from theo one that is clocking the sequantizer, and then both oscs being mixed independently on outboard mixer through various effects

A couple from me.

Both are slight variations on the same patch.

Eleven Sines. Simple tremelo sine recorded running through a Wiard Omni filter which provide the spatial effects and shifts.

"Protozoa". Several passes through a Wiard 300 series set of related patches, basic linear FM to a low pass gate with stereo panning.

Everything is in step as I used a midi clock to the Wiard and then used one of the envelators as a frequency divider - tweaked that by hand as the patch ran. Also tweaked a sequantiser for the pitch.

I probably need to edit this one though

All Wiard 300 series semi random patch, one pass. A basic starter patch for something I'm planning - but before complicating it and maybe ending up with something less interesting I thought I'd record it.

Wogglebug stepped CV controlling a Borg's LFO to give a variable clock. Two sequantizers, one with 8, one with seven steps have their CVs mixed to control the pitch of a carrier and modulated linear FM patch. Audi goes to a LPG, panning controlled by wogglebug stepped CV to Z control on the mixolator.

FX by Eventide H9.

I noticed no one has posted any tracks in here for a while. I am new to Wiard but I thought I would post something since I have had my system for a couple months now. Hope you enjoy!

Love the CVCO!

I noticed that you have a Serge as well. Curiously, do any of the Serge VCOs sound similar to the Wiard?

I suppose the Serge NTO would be comparable to the CVCO. They can sound similar but there are some differences between what the two can do with FM options on the Wiard and the variable waveforms of the Serge.

Here is another Wiard 300 track of a small sequence with some modulation.

My first full length was mainly 300 (WFC, Borg, Wog, Seq, Env., CVCO). Also 808 + 101.

This track uses some cross patching on the Borg for "pops & clicks", main voice was the WFC as you might be able to recognize. It's a perfect classical techno machine.

I tried an experiment where all of my random comes from the output of a CVCO and I think it turned out well.

MatttheKat

Awesome sounds!

How do the old euro modules compare to the 300? I feel like 300 stuff is unobtanium at this point and would be really difficult to start a system...

hi, you can get new 300 modules from Cary.

I can't comment on the Eurorack but when I've compared the Frac Microwave with the Waveform City I prefer the bigger module - whether that is unconscious bias or not I don't know. having said that I found the Frac Wiard filters to be great - but then they were hand built by Grant.

This thread reminds me I must put up a couple of basic sounds I made recently.

Attempt at machine improvisation, mainly Wiard but some CGS, Oakley and CGS-Serge used:

Well...I didn't like it enough to make a "piece" out of it, but I did like it enough thaqt I recorded it because I didn't want to forget what it sounded like. If you know what I mean...
