Interested but would like to clarify some basics. I’d prefer to build it as frac with bananas. You mentioned depth. Looks like one pcb so what’s the concern? Thanks for reviving this thing.

what i built for myself is 2 pcb's the bigger is 130x90mm ,it's really rough comparing to what people do in eagle but it works for me .. as the jacks are not pcb mounted it's really bunch of wires ,i mount my pcb's with L brackets so it's 90mm inside the case as my synth is 4U

i can imagine it for frack rack as a bit wider module 28hp seems good to sandwich the pcb's directly to the panel ,there should be space to add something useful as pulse delay or additional divides or patterns to use with the neurons

here's a panel for this as the panel from Richter's page didn't have the pattern gen included ,and in addition to that i added Varilogic II on the same panel ,these schematics should somewhat work with 12V but i'm not sure so - in 3U format plus a silly graphic that suppose to remind of the wonderful artwork of Wiard modules

I'd be interested in a few of these PCBs...

A few questions...

Is the "clock" jack the "whole note" output? Or did you figure out a nifty way to get an external clock input?

I assume that there's DIP switches on the PCBs for the pattern outputs?

I notice on your panel designs you omit the '0' position (n/c) for the cell threshold... is it just not marked, or did you find that threshold setting to be uninteresting?

Thanks!!

I would like one too

i would get in on a pcb run if possible, depth and 15v no problem.

the switches are 3 position with middle off ,i use that too ,on the pcb with dividers and patterns there are dip switches to select pattern it can do without them of course if you know what pattern is for you ,and clock output is useful to drive other standard sequencers to be in sync with this one ,you can look at this also as master clock ,and i thought it would be nice to be able to sync this clock with external but i never did that ,should be easy it's just 555 ,and i'm not thinking to offer pcb's for this ,however if anyone wants one with 15V PSU i can make for you ,depth is not a problem it can be around 50mm

I’m really curious about this unreleased (and other unreleased Wiard/richter modules); I read through Richters Neuron page, but still don’t quite understand what’s going on in the actual module.

The Neurons are like switchable logic gates, there are 4 of them on this iteration.

There is a pulser with divider and a pattern generator (looks something like the one published in Synapse zine).

I assume the pulser feeds the logic gate inputs somehow? Is the pulser normaled to the neuron logic inputs? Or it’s just there to patch? Very confusing.

the logic outputs feed the pattern generator or vice versa? Or Is it just there to be patched in any way one likes?

It looks to me in the schematic that he has the pulser/divider connected to the neuron inputs— but then I don’t understand what the banana jacks on his module are for?

it's basically a trigger sequencer ,you have one master clock ,it drives the pattern gen. and dividers and also is connected to the 4 logic rows (neurons) ,the pattern and divider outputs are independent so you need to patch them into exc or inh inputs and that's how you get beats ,in example you can get one pattern on neuron #1 and use it's output for inh input of neuron # 2 ,i use often DUSG with the neurons they work very well together ,aas i said the master clock is connected to the neurons in a way that if yoou put the 3 way switch in middle or off you get whole clock at certain neuron output ,it's quite simple if you try it and play with it ,the writings at Richter's page are very elaborate i was struggling to understand it too
