It’s polarizing for sure, regardless hearing that album as a teen is a revelation...

Picking from the hat: John Zorn.
Alternatively, there's a shit-ton of stuff if you look outside the US/Europe. How about Fela Kuti as a starting point?

Re: Albums I should listen to before I die
Listened to a bunch of Zorn growing up. Talked one of my students I to doing a school report on Fela. Actually haven't listened to either in years. Thanks for the reminder.

Can't believe I forgot this one, a seminal guitar album that unwittingly spawned a billion sound-a-likes. Criminally underrated band

Ceremony, The Miraculous and Dead Magic by Anna Von Hausswolff. Pipe organs, guitars and fantastic vocals.
Any Gazelle Twin, the music gets more esoteric with each release.
If you want very minimalistic music then check out Richard Chartier/Pinkcourtesyphone

That is a very underrated album indeed.
Captain Beefheart - Trout Mask Replica (one album to rule them all)
But also...
The Harry Smith Folk Anthologies
Pretty much anything by The Fall from Dragnet to This Nation's Saving Grace
Butthole Surfers - Locust Abortion Technician

So much great stuff! Void, that's a nice little list you got there, some great record choices. This track is one of my all time favorites. Spent many hazy nights with friends on top of my roof listening to this and many other older jazz cuts.
Be good to yourself, and be good to others.
Re: Albums I should listen to before I die
Not exactly an album, but here's two very rewarding works from Stravinsky : Les Noces + Agon
If you're into [high quality] tape-mangling music : Marc Baron, Carnets
If you're into post-krautrock : Organ Mood, Comme si nous étions déjà libres
If you're into majestic ambient : Giulio Alducinucci, Disappearing in a Mirror
