More art project than interesting.
i think his no ideas manifesto / etc. is meant to have overlaps with the some object oriented philosophy... i don't have a huge inteterest in it, as it seems at first look parasitic on the failures of theory, rather than anything more exciting like making it fail
sustained attempts to think through the implications of a fundamental diremption which extends into our very conception of what we are. This is the diremption between our self-understanding as rational subjects and our scientific understanding of ourselves as physical objects... we distinguish the phenomenon of selfhood from the function of the subject. We must learn to dissociate subjectivity from selfhood and realize that if, as Sellars put it, inferring is an act - the distillation of the subjectivity of reason - then reason itself enjoins the destitution of selfhood.
selves don't think. i think :D

i only mean that i myself have never read any discussion of that sort of philosophy that does anything except interpret / label / etc. an opinion and then take some opposition to it for reasons that just iterate the same process... in my head it feels like this vast system of -- perhaps pseudo -- negation... i don't have the time. well i do, but yeah

all the major art movements seem to have musical overlaps

this seems to be suprematist [think "Black Square"] influenced -- though it's probably more -- russian -- futurist...there's minimalist art / music then there's actual "minimalism" i guess
The opera has since become notable for starring the first appearance of Malevich's Black Square.
