My music player started on this album while I was heading to the supermarche earlier. I'd forgotten how much I liked it, it has been a while...

A superb piece of work....and enjoyed the live shows way back.

John Dwyer and friends.

Witch Egg.

Robyn Hitchock ala The Soft Boys returned with something very special.

Nextdoorland.

Ozrics

Many memories wrapped up in this......probably trying to decipher lyrics.

Cocteau Twins - Head Over Heels

Image

Sleaford Mods

'The piss smells of bacon...' Jason W still on good form
Andrew's alter-ego shows in the music on this LP

Image

Craven Faults from Yorkshire.
harks back to seminal early experiments in electronic music wherein loop-spinning machines were left to communicate with each other, with the human involvement limited to providing the necessary technical expertise and raw materials to allow for the creation of pure machine music.
Image

Plus the other 2 EPS and debut album.....Maybe I like him.

Pink Floyd

Image

Dave Angel - Classics. 4 of your 4 to the floor.

Image

at this very moment.

Campag Velocet - Bon Chic, Bon Genre.

It's not half bad. I remembered it as quite meh at the time.
I can see why they were championed at the time (99).

I forgot how much of a genius Sting is. I watched a Rick Beato video on how it is impossible to copy Sting because of his unconventional songwriting style, and dusted off my copies of The Dream of the Blue Turtles and ...Nothing Like the Sun.

Favourite tracks: From Blue Turtles: Russians, Childrens' Crusade, and Fortress Around Your Heart. These are all "serious" songs, especially CC, which almost always makes me tear up. Here's a video of the latter -- this is a great song, musically and lyrically.

From NLTS: The Lazarus Heart, Be Still My Beating Heart, Fragile, and The Secret Marriage. Here's the second song -- again, a really great song.

Sting is absolutely fantastic! I went through his album with Shaggy and it was much better than I first thought!

Couple of bandcamp suggestions:

Love-Lore from Deerhoof - freebie due to copyright as it is a wonder-mega-mix of cover(ish) - love the Silver Apples to Kraftwerk & then the Velvet Underground to end.. - total joyous romp! ::

Oh & I always love Josephine Foster - having a listen to her latest, which feels like it is further developing her rich & dreamy output::

Currently I have Madlib's latest album on repeat. Some really great beats in there.

That shit is banging

I also, still, listen to D'angelo almost every day. Both Voodoo and Black Messiah are great albums. Really wish he make some new music soon
