Been re-spinning Leafcutter John's 2019 album "Yes! Come Parade With Us". Enjoyed it at the time, but I'm liking it much more second time around. More of Mr. Burton's work is on the shopping list.
Is it finished?

I like to listen to different, but very driving music, so that you can ride cool with such songs. It also happens that I can just turn on some kind of sound effect, for example Emotions Sound Effect and it will also charge me very much and give energy for a cool ride in a car. It's also very cool that you can then use these in your YouTube videos.

I just recently got Airpods (non Pro) for my early morning walks - I do an 8km round at 6 in the morning - and have been listening to a lot of Steve Reich again. My aim is to listen to all recordings of 18 Musicians and try to really understand the cross rhythms and overall structure of the piece - it has me conducting the air like a madman sometimes, trying to combine 6/4 in one hand with 4/4 in the other and so on - what better way to start the day  Fortunately there aren't many other people on my route to see me making a fool of myself. I've listened to and loved Reich all my life but I've never really examined his work in depth before - I may even get the score of 18 Musicians and really study it properly.

I have to say I'm blown away by the Airpods. Obviously they're not audiophile, my Sony bluetooth headphones are far better, let alone my studio headphones, but for such tiny drivers they are really impressive and certainly more than adequate for accompanying physical exercise. If you set them just right it's as if the music is coming from all around you without shutting out the world - very nice. They're really an object lesson in how a product can be enabling - I'm now listening to much more music than before simply because I have the airpods in my pocket.

My other current listening obsession is Susumu Yokota. Magical music.

I've been listening to the Police's last album, Synchronicity, quite a lot, and I now realize that Andy Summers is one of my favorite guitarists. The Police were essentially a jazz-fusion band in the end.

I just discovered this brilliant pianist from Poland by the name of Hania Rani. Here's a video of a live performance from a recording studio at Poland Radio.

I just came across Terry Riley's Keyboard Studies 1 and 2. How I never heard these before I don't know - but there aren't very many recordings out there. There's a brilliant version of N. 2 on Bandcamp: https://drone-not-drones.bandcamp.com/a ... study-no-2.

Hania Rani is the best. Her work is well worth checking and this jam is really on paar with her others works.
