I know we're all too hip to mention something that lots of people actually like but...Da Funk. I'm sure everyone's heard it (too?) many times already...but that 303 line made people lose their minds.

Boston 168 is essential for me, groovy while still being trance-inducing.

So much great acid out there. I agree on the Minimum Syndicat crew releasing some ace records. Nothing new, but it's top-notch production and storytelling.

However, I see no mention of Erik van den Broek (Essit Musique, Acid Kid, Shiver) in this thread. High grade dope!

And don't forget DJ Misjah & DJ Tim. Straight up & banging.

I recently dove into the back catalogue for Analog Records USA, Freddy Fresh's label. Loads of good acid bangers, plus some good ambient sounds and techno. Some of my favourites:

Solar Quest "A + B = C in D#"

Let yourself get through the intro, around 1 mins it starts to get pretty boiling and saturated. Caustic AF! Break at 1:30 is my favorite moment in all acid music period.

Sarcoblast "Sarcoflaps"

Magnum Force "Unlucky Punk"

BEST BUILDUP IN AN ACID TRACK - starts at 3:58...BUMP IT

Phuture - Acid Tracks
A Guy Called Gerald - Voodoo Ray
Caustic Window - Joyrex J9 (probably not a 303 but hey!)
Slam - Positive Education (Luke Slater Morganistic Mix) very minimal 303 but amazing track

Meh...

303 as a main instrument doesn’t do it for me, although I get why it has some appeal...

Check out stuff like Eternal Basement!! Mind blowing use of the 303 but in moderation, and tastefully interspersed with some amazing atmosphere!

Edit... also check out Oliver Liebe with Spicelab: Lost in Spice
Gum is fun, but not on a cat.

My minds an art gallery.
