Amazing. Not even exaggerating. I saw him at Movement in Detroit maybe five or six years ago after Damogen Furies was released and was completely blown away. Not sure how much he was doing behind that stack of equipment but the sound and accompanying visuals were sensory overload in the most positive sense. I haven't even been super impressed by his work since Go Plastic but his live show is not to be missed.

Thanks for the reply...tickets here’s in NYC are still available and affordable...unlike the Aphex show last year.

oof $15 add-on fees on the ticket order. i'm sick of advanced ticket sales costing more than at the door. wtf.

Hoping he pulls off some live bass playing action akin to this...

Part of the point of the new album is that the return to the jungle/nearly-breakcore style was because he slipped on some ice and broke his arm, reducing his ability to play "real" instruments for a bit. Depending on how long the album has been gestating, he might still be a bit battered.

Either way, new Squarepusher, oh fucking yes. Always glad to see him putting out music. "Terminal Slam" is doing things to me.

Just got a first full listen to the album today. Totally badass! Just the right mix of hectic, melodic, and good acid for me.

Wasn’t aware of this! Thanks for the info.
Anyone else going to the Detroit show in April?

It's absolute fire, I grinned like a little kid when I heard it. He stripped it back to fundamentals and then pushed it slightly further than I was expecting.

Also, I love the bonus tracks for pre-orders, especially the infamous "Squarepusher’s NTS Mix 22-06-19" which is 40 odd minutes of total mayhem. It's a really fun and engaging album that wears its craft so lightly. Listening to this album feels a lot like the first time I heard him, when "Hard Normal Daddy" came out- the same dizzy exhilaration.

I feel like I got schooled properly :)

Had a few good listens to the album and really digging it. Can’t understand all the negative reviews frankly.
