Sven Grunberg - Hingus

Post by jkjelec » Wed Jan 08, 2020 4:36 pm

I've been really liking "Hingus" by Sven Grunberg. I happened upon it surfing the stuff that YouTube recommended based on what else I listened to; it's from the late 1970s. I had seen some things that suggested he built his own equipment. I really like the vibe/spacey feel of his stuff, and how the portamento leads are so unapologetically out-front. Does anyone know anything more about him or his synths?

I found this article that says that Russian prog rock band Mess member Härmo Härm built the synthesizers:

I've been listening to a mega crackly vinyl rip of this for years, the YouTube is almost Hi-Fi by comparison, and its not often I say that
You have given me the impetus I needed to source a better copy, awesome record imo :tu:
