That’s awful... I listen to very if any DJs, remixes etc., but his work appealed to me and seemed very much like new material (Soon for example).

The man, the beard, the legend. My favorite was always:

Mr Ravenscroft agreed, too:

So sad... my introduction to electronic music.
Screamadelica is in my very shortlist of desert island records.
I was obsessed with his music for a while, bought so many of his records on my first visists to London.

One of my faves :

That 12" will be even more expensive from now on so I should be quick but am damn low on cash atm.
Unfortunately I never had the chance to hear him play.

I hope you are being ironic.

Personally of his remixes in that genre this is my favorite and a record I always drop from time to time. Cos I was a big fan of Saint Etienne too. Sadly apropos.

...haha somehow I was. I really like that tune but not that much that I'd pay more than 20$ for a near mint copy to drop it every second year.
To be frank I wanted to take part with everybody here and post some nice music he was involved in to show my respect for his legacy.

I think we all are.

AW shaped my early experience of what music could be, it's impact in a physical space in a community of like-minded individuals.
His impact on the culture as a whole is almost incalcuable - so deep & far-reaching. All the usual labels - visionary, pioneer, legend etc
are actually spot-on in his case.

maybe it's partly because it's 12 months to the day that I had to say to goodbye to my father at the Crematorium too, but I'm finding this loss
quite hard. Rest In Power Lord Sabre. You're missed.
