RIP - so sad.

Can't top Der Mussolini. Danced to it so many times.

First thing I played on my first SH101.

£100 was a lot then, yet, that's unimportant.

RIP
Where have I seen you before?
Same place you saw me, I expect.
I've got a good face for memories.

Damn.
Got lots of great memories of working with Gabi & Saba during their Delkom period. Gabi was always generous with his time. One of titans, a true gent

Massive loss. R.I.P.

Was part of my first "wild" years and i can fondly remember when we stormed the dancefloor in the GDR a teens in the 80's when the first chords of "Der Mussolini" began to play. (For those not familiar with the situation behind the iron curtain, yes we had much and sometimes drastic repressions on different cultural or musical aspects and such music or "difference" and such habits were definitely not promoted and often oppressed, there was also a punk and wave inspired underground-like movement around.)

Heavily influenced the way my musical tastes headed in the coming years and i still do love much of the DAF material of that era and what they achieved with a limited range of equipment was/is much stornger as many of that what followed with unlimited opportunities. They are a perfect example how you transform a raw sound and energy into a strong impact that will last decades.
