A really cool television performance from ‘73.

I remember being upset a few years ago when the Rock N Roll Hall of Shame inducted Donna Summers over Kraftwerk. I doubt that any on the committee knew that Summer’s “I Feel Love” is heavily indebted to them.

Just went to doepfer's site to check something and found this on the home page...
Never a huge fan, in fact remember a friend buying Autobahn and playing it to us when it came out, I didn't get it at the time. :despair: Was lucky to see them 4 years ago,, then I totally got it.
Undeniable about their influence on pretty much everything that followed.

RIP :hail:
I'm not buying a maths though, not my idea of fun...

It's likely the reason you got it at the live show is Ralf's lifelong dedication to improving the audio-visual experience. It's really only now they have (he has) the technology to do what they have (he has) aspired to. Kraftwerk perform a repertoire which they continue to try to refine. An absolutely singular vision. The sound at Kraftwerk shows now is simply amazing. I don't think you will ever hear a more amazing kick drum.

Also, indirectly, you can probably thank Kraftwerk commissioning Doepfer for the fact of Eurorack.

The Quietus can be stupid at times, but this is a fitting piece:

^ that link gave me images of toe bandages. Very cool.

I recently had a lot of Kraftwerk in my rotation. Sad to see a pioneer go. He knows he was great.

It seems like this gentlemen behaved and dressed like a classical music player for all his life ; with class, serious, discretion and dignity.
