I'd especially recommend it if you like Deathspell Omega (And extra especially if you like their epic length tracks). There are some parts where I can't believe it's not them.

Finallly got a copy of Pleiades' Dust.... well mp3 until the CD comes in the mail

Listened twice through, once while lying on the floor doing nothing. Really enjoyed it, very interesting album. I have trouble staying interested in bands that are purely trying to be the most brutal so I appreciated how dynamic it is.

I've never listened to Deathspell Omega, so I will definitely check them out. Any recommendations for them?

Pretty much anything they've done since 2004(when they moved past the old lo-fi black metal and started doing what no band has done before) is amazing. Their trilogy of albums since then is great and especially this song. I'm still in shock at how good it is. I can't believe it.

I don't listen to new music as much as I used to, but these two have been big hits with me. Favorite record purchases so far this year.

Tangents - Stateless
Aleski Perala - The Colundi Sequence Volume 1

drew you are a saint for keeping this thread rocking over the years. i cannot tell you how many times it has not only introduced me to new (to me) music , but just the reminder to continue to seek when so often my attention gets pulled in other directions.

like, the most deep sincere thanks to you.

and have you checked out that french guy chassol?

I'm glad you are enjoying it!

Discovering music is what this thread is about but I must admit that for long stretches of its run I haven't had time to check much that others post and just used it as a dumping ground.

I haven't heard of Chassol but I'm checking this out right now and digging it so far. He just broke into some warbly synth lines that remind me of your music :tu:

Love the variety - don't often see Job for a Cowboy, Pet Shop Boys, Mobb Deep, and Matmos in the same list.

also, I'm reminded on this classic mashup

My Twin Peaks lp is quite noisy too. It's ok but given the time we had to wait for a proper reissue...
