Neurocore / Experimental speedcore

Post by Janarto » Sat Aug 27, 2011 6:14 pm

A style of music that is not really popular except in France and maybe germany, but still really interesting

I love the mix between saturated violence and very detailed small particules :hail:

another artist in the same field : Undacova

I would really like to know you feelings about that

I like this. I used to love early hardcore. Glad that it continues to mutate. Reminds me of venitian snares when he playfully jumps between styles.

It's always been popular in my house! When I am at work Senical, La Peste, and various HL are in heavy and frequent rotation!

this is great! thanks for bringing this up, it's kind of hard to find this sort of thing without being in the know. Love the UndaCova link, traced that back to Entity and I've been downloading stuff all weekend  . That Vortex compilation is awesome!

Sorry to get OT but can anyone recommend something along the lines of this stuff just a little slower? Like noisy sludge or I guess industrial? Not too good on genre names, seems to be a real abstraction of styles lately and i'm not to knowledgable in electronic genres.

Well it's easier to follow labels than artists for that progress.

entity is a really good netlabel

here's a list of interesting label to browse on discogs

Hangars Liquides
Underground Perversion (UPR)
Destruction Record (Dest)
Restroom
Reverse
USN (united speedcore nation)
Praxis (C8 sublabel)
NoTek
Audioactivity
K-net / K-ni-bal
Amenora
Signal Zero

Following slower / industrial guidelines

Hymen Records
Ant Zen
Cavage
Explore toi
Hecate
Sub/Version
Component's record
Ad Noiseam
Photon Emissions

Net Radio

Cannibal caniche

to listen some clips, look at toolbox record and see what you like

http://www.toolboxrecords.com/fr/

Happy to read about your interest for that kind of music

Yep I'm more familiar with passenger of shit, it's a nice song but i'm leaning toward cleaner sound, even if i like rusty noise as well !

when the rythm is really fast, i like to listen all those crispy small details

I love neurotek, frenchcore and good speedcore. My friend xanopticon is also well worth checking. Also a big atomhead fan.

Check out La Peste - WTC.XTC. Fantastic soundscapes. Top notch stuff!

Quoting the Spannered article:

The 44-track CD which comes with WTC.XTC features a continuous mix of music which runs for over an hour. One thing which strikes you when listening to this CD is the loose and improvised feel to the structure of the music; something which is partly facilitated through the use of Kyma X.

I do too, but I consider him far too eclectic to be speedcore. Breakcore/ragga jungle/mashup? Arg... the names get ridiculous. Great stuff.

Also don't forget the longstanding traditions of NYC speedcore, like DOA and Hells Army. But I like how the Europeans take it in experimental directions

Also solid amiazing album... Need to get a DVD player still haven't gotten to watch that disc. Anyway, necrothread bump, but I'd be interested to here if there are producers of this stuff here too
