Never heard of him. However, the presented Jeri-Jeri is not electronic music.

There's plenty of Mbalax that has a much more electronic feel to it since heavy use of guitar effects was common in the 1970s in Senegal.

This topic is nice yea I prefer arabic electronic sound to african electronics but both are nice to listen :guinness:

I have several of their early albums. Outstanding political music throughout the 1980s which was released in Europe by Recommended Records. Warrick Sony is the sole permanent member of the Kalahari Surfers.

Their collaboration with Lesego Rampolokeng is of interest as well:

The compilation is a fake - it does not feature any African artist.
