USB Lamp for live

Post by tiz9000 » Tue Jan 02, 2018 7:13 pm

I've seen several people plug in nice gooseneck lamps into USB power powers on their modulars. I'd love to do the same. What are some of the best options? LED color and dimmable would be nice..

Ikea, nice.

Also: bonus points for dimmers, LED colors, sleekness!

I think there is a lot off choice for USB lamps. It's quiet cheap actually.
How do you power these ?

I found the "A-183-9 Quad USB Power Supply" from doepfer. 2HP.
Intellijel have also a 1u USB power unit for these.

Or maybee It's better that the power supply come out off the Euro rack ?

I use a bunch of the Intellijel 1U units. Some for lamps, some for powering Boutiques etc.

 :sb: The Lamp-3 is particularly great because you can not only power lamps but USB devices like keyboards, phones, tablets and other small devices that need USB power. I put one in each of my main eurorack cases. 8-)
