The project notes state "The module should be powered from a well regulated +15V and -15V power supply" do I have to make any alterations for 12v eurorack ? As mine is not working even the LED doesn't work when powered up

I asked this question of Rob. The reply was:
The changes to 12v are in the latest project notes, and they are:

R32 is 22k
R27 is 180k

I have also changed R19 and R39 to 56k to ensure larger audio inputs don't over drive the filter core, this isn't in the project notes

Did you use the project notes linked from the PCB or the ones linked from the Manuals page? The one linked form the PCB is an older version (1.01) so you might want to check the 1.1 version on the manuals page. I think minor resistor changes were all that was required though.

I have a feeling I scratched my head for a while working out the correct orientation of the led on this one. Are you sure it is the right way round?

Yes I used notes linked to PCB :bang:

I tested Led with a Led tester and it works fine so it seems its not receiving any power

Thanks for the reply Duff I'll make the resistor changes.

I've made changed the resistors as stated ... and there is fine degree of resonance now ... but the LED won´t work either and yes ... the direction is right

someone got any idea?

Finished building my two AM8109's yesterday:

Work like a charm! With the first I was working off the project notes, so I missed that R27 had to be changed, fixed that later. Modules were built using the Mouser project that AMSynths provides, initially I didn't see that one as it's on the product description page, not on the manuals page. I upgraded the opamps as recommended in the project notes. Getting the IR3109's out of a Boss PH-2 was a bit of a challenge as I didn't have much desoldering experience, but they came out well.

I decided to use both the jacks an pots PCB instead of having to figure out the wiring myself. Those work great! I opted to for the same Cliff jacks AMSynths uses, just so I knew to would fit and work.
This module was high on my list since I started with the Eurorack thing, finally I have it. Last year I started with DIY, so I'm superhappy that not only do I have two now, but I also built them myself...

I listened to that filter sweep at least half a dozen times, it's a beautiful thing.

Been checking the store everyday for a while and just snagged an 8109! There's still one more left. Can't wait to use this with the system X oscillators I'm building.

Hi
Another run of AM8109 VCF's will be completed this year, but it is looking like the last 10-15 modules as I haven't been able to source IR3109 chips at a sensible price. PCB's remain in stock.

Best Regards
