batteryACID (IDOW edition) euro module + DVD/Blu combo deals

Post by s o l v e n t » Wed Mar 06, 2013 9:54 am

Hi,

I just wanted to point out that IDOW combo package deals are available - Buy IDOW Hardcore Edition on BluRay or DVD, together with the batteryACID module, and you save $10.
http://idreamofwires.org/order

This is a 1-off single batch production with the majority of proceeds going to I Dream of Wires' completion fund — huge thanks to hexinverter.net!

Available exclusively from http://idreamofwires.org now!
Pre-order 2/11 through 5/31. Shipping June.
This is a limited edition, pre-order only module - Buy now or never!

Let me also add, in a not-so-subtle way: If you are on the fence about this module, I would like to ask that you consider this as more than a module - it is directly supporting the I Dream Of Wires project. We're going to get this film done and delivered as promised, no matter what, but we are still facing an enormous amount of post-production and manufacturing expenses, so these orders really do help, in a huge way. Mr Hex has most generously donated his many hours of R&D for the film's benefit, and in that spirit, if you're on the fence about it, please consider pulling the trigger for the good of the IDOW cause... Plus, let me add: I have the prototype, and this module kicks ass!

Here are some freshly recorded audio demos I put together:

Would be very nice if there would be an invoice (a real invoice not just a Paypal printout) on the outside of the package when shipped.

This would save me the trouble to go to the customs office.

I repeat: It has to be on the outside as they are not allowed to open packages. You can use something like this to put the invoice safely at the outside:

Hi,

Many people have requested the exact opposite - no invoice, declared as gift, so that customs fees are avoided. I have to say, we cannot take special requests on a per-package basis, as there are so far nearly 3000 packages to ship! They will all be done in 1 way. But I think most likely this is the way we'll end up doing it.

I doubt that declaring a module as a gift will avoid customs fees. In Germany even gifts with a value of more than 45 € are handled the same way as normal packages and our customs officers aren't stupid. :despair:

3000 sold modules are pretty much. Wow.

Edit: Btw.: This forum is publicly viewable and at least our customs officers have an Internet connection.

Ha! Not 3000 modules sold (probably not more than 150, if even)... 3000 packages, mostly DVDs, BluRays, etc.

Anyway I think what people have been requesting me to do is to declare the value low and as a gift. As I said, we don't really have time to accommodate individual requests like that, so probably we will have to declare the $value correctly so that we can claim insurance on those packages that get lost.

OK, I thought you want to do it the other way around: Declaring all packages as a gift and lower value.

Yep, full value and accurate description as a product.
:tu:

Now it's almost June, any closer idea on a shipping date? I have a use for the IDOW Euro module already.
