Hey, quit playing around with my modules and get them in the mail.

Great demos! I think a using nice, slow EG would be cool place of the LFO. I'm really excited to be getting my first taste of ZI sonic destruction in the next week or so.

Now that the Destructor Beam and Haxor are ready and available, I can start moving towards making progress on the follow up modules :woah:

I'm not sure the order these modules will be released in, but here is where all profits made on the Destructor Beam and Haxor are going:

-The VCA has a sibling.....Different vactrols, more vactrols, different tube, different sound... :vader:

-BN6 waveshaper/distortion module - Dark ominous low groans and howls..... The masterpiece :cthulhu:

-Hybrid metamorphic mutation series of modules..... Solid State distortion and Vacuum Tube distortion stitched together in the same body. :animal:

I'm ordering some supplies next week to further the prototype process on 1 of the above mentioned "coming soon" modules.
:cloud:

If I can sell a few more Haxor's, then I can fund another project

The way I see money right now is that it equals the opportunity to build more modules,
so can I trade modules for money to build more modules? :lolsign:

This thing is turning out to be pretty cool.
I'm going to stay up and try to get some demos recorded,

Vactrol controlled 6136 pentode distortion, 2 vactrols selectable on a switch with a special bonus,
position A selects fast vactrol,
position B selects slow vactrol,
middle position selects both, which is...... different.

Finally starting to get to where I want to get to.

The vactrol selection switch is a rad idea. Looks like another killer release.

Oh, sweet! Was that from my card in the ZI suggestion box?
And Eric said, "and then you can have a third switch position which selects both of them" :cloud:

And now I have another really really crazy idea for a module that will happen after this one is done. I am going to explore the vactrol rabbit hole as far as it can be explored.

Here are some rough sounds,
I patched one wretch oscillator direct out into the VCA 2, and used the wretch LFO 1 output to modulate the VCA 2.
Here is one with me switching between 5C1 and 5C4 positions:
http://zerosuminertia.com/audio/zi/comi ... stslow.mp3

Here is one with me switching between 5C1 and the middle mode which is both 5C1 and 5C4:
http://zerosuminertia.com/audio/zi/comi ... ndboth.mp3

5C1 is real snappy with lots of dynamic range, 5C4 is really slurry and slewy :nana:
Both of them together is just weird and slurry in a different way.

This won't be a replacement for the existing VCA, this is just another flavor to compliment the VCA. The 6136 distortion is a smoother character than the 5654, and the vactrol selection makes it even more interesting.

The Vactrol Controlled Amplifryer concept will continue to be explored

It's basically three 12AT7's in one single tube.
I got big plans for this, looking forward to it :yay:

But first......I must wrap up the finishing touches some other modules first

Brian are you using any 2D21 tubes in your builds. I have like 70 of them here. They are Sylvania. I'd probably keep 5-10 for myself, but would be happy to let these go to you or Eric if you wanted them.

PM'd :hyper:

I don't have anything that uses 2D21's at the moment,
but if I had some thyratrons on the shelf full of tubes saying "Use me! Use me!".................. :*:

I got the best 6136 tubes that were made.
RCA COMMAND series, GE 5 Star, Sylvania Gold Brand, Tung Sol.
These will be the highest quality tubes I have used in any of my products,
All designed for military applications with obsessive quality control testing.
Just got lucky finding a good stash.

Vactrol Controlled Amplifryer II will be limited to the amount of 6136's I can find, but I'm sure I have found enough to build what will sell.
First 7 get built with Command 6136's.

I'll be ordering PCB's this month.
Production will start when I get the PCB's.

I'll have some MU VCA's to release in a few weeks....
I'm going to save and order a few panels up front in quantity so I can
have them on hand, in stock and available with no wait time.
So that means I can't release both at the same time,
I need to pick one to dedicate funds towards.

So, what is more exciting?:
-Screaming oscillating VCA that sounds like Death?
or
-Smooth, creamy, lower noise(ish) VCA?

They are both pretty cool

After those, I want to move straight towards getting the VCO out,
Then when that is done.... I'll go back to the weird solid state, tube, mutant hybrid processor that was supposed to come out a while ago..

Originally I had plans to release(MU) modules in alphabetical order.... :hihi:
Look how out of order it has gotten.....
