The TSmkii has the option of keeping your sample in a non-volatile memory. The uLoop has the option of being ultra cheap!!! With three or more of 'em you can easily step in sampler territory.

Guys,
there is some news!

Exactly here:

In the current incarnation, UL1uloop is very fun to play with BUT it is very sloppy regarding syncing the recording with the 'rec' trigger input or button... (the PLAY and LOOP buttons are much more precise and actually syncable to anything!!)
I will add a function by changing the PLAY button behaviour: This button will automatically:
-START the recording, measuring time, and when the button is released
-Trigger the LOOP continuosly.
-reset by playing PLAY again.

At this point I have two alternatives: get rid of everything done or make this into a product...
If the price could be made low, I think that people would accept the limitations. There are many other products that are more performing and more expensive on the market.

Apart from this video, I played with it and it's quite entertaining, particularly in 'ambient', 'noise' and 'sound design' areas...

Some other videos are coming, more focused...

ciao!!!!!

I'm really looking forward to this but would much prefer it was redesigned to be as good as it could be, personally I wouldn't mind paying more - It's the size and simplicity that's really attractive. You may as well do it properly

Yeah me too.. :)
trying to understand if a full new version makes sense in a 'business' way... Firmware is a lot more expensive, and we invested a lot on the RC1!!!!
I want to make a few more videos to show what's this good for (I think a lot!) and then evaluate the response...

Thank you for feedback!

Yeah, cheap and dirty for 2013....
The main thing here is finding the balance between firmware development (the REAL indirect cost of any uC or DSP based module) and time-to-market and final price.
In parallel is starting a project for an A/D D/A platform that should be capable of more surgical stuff but that's 2014!
ciao!

Nice work, tight layout! :tu:
Pity to hide it with a panel...why not plexiglas?
Looking forward to this module.
