New Coco-heavy Album

Post by CliffordMilk » Wed Feb 06, 2019 6:05 am

I've just released a new collection of tracks on Menk! Recordings called Strandloper, which feature the Cocoquantus 2 pretty heavily. I do love it so.

The rest of the sounds come either from a BEMI Music Easel or fields recordings from remote coastal locations.

YOU CAN LISTEN TO IT FREE OR PURCHASE HERE

I hope there's something here some of you like.

Really enjoying the first track. Really makes you want to get a Buchla :)

Most of it is the Easel, right?

How useful do you find it to patch the Easel straight to Coco with bananas?

Thank you for your kind words :)

I find the 4 scalable voltage pads on the easel are great for patching into the Coco playback speed. It takes a while to dial in but it does then allow you to play the Coco musically to some degree. Similarly with the Easel’s Sequencer but this is best inverted before patching into the Coco.

The other way around is very useful too as there is no real complex lfo on the Easel. The Quantussy is great in this respect. Patching the Coco audio out into the Easel envelope follower is another way to sync up the two instruments.

Just be sure to connect the grounds together before cross-pollinating :)
