Inline Attenuators of Pugix
Hey guys, anybody knows which part should i use now to replace the 1090NS mentioned http://pugix.com/synth/inline-attenuators/ by pugix? Would love to make a small box of these...
I'm going to build some of these too.
Are these what I need in terms of banana jacks https://uk.farnell.com/johnson-cinch-co ... dp/2340491
And for pots:
https://www.thonk.co.uk/shop/alpha-9mm-pots/ 'VERTICAL: A1M - 1M Audio'
Can't source any kind of enclosure yet, if there's anything out there?
Thanks

Those vertical pots are meant to solder into PC boards. You can still use them, but harder to solder to than ones with lugs.rmro wrote:And for pots:

Almost any small box will do. Deep enough for the banana jacks.rmro wrote:Can't source any kind of enclosure yet, if there's anything out there?
Thanks

@rmro, if you're in the UK then bitsbox.co.uk and soundtronics.co.uk are a good source for pots and other components.
Bitsbox:
https://www.bitsbox.co.uk/index.php?mai ... ts_id=3190
Soundtronics:
https://www.soundtronics.co.uk/taiwan-a ... m-log.html
(both 1M log response)
I like Bitsbox as they have everything you need, but only one of them, so it takes the problem of choosing which variety of an IC out of the equation, they deliver quickly and it's an independent small business. You just have to factor in the £1.75 flat shipping fee for everything you buy.

While taking some glamour shots for an upcoming tape release I decided to grab some shots of my attenuating box to share with everyone here:

Got the walnut from a buddy of mine and cut the box on the cnc I use at work. I used some husky 14awg just in case my other, more slender options would have caused resistance when sending signal through tiny wire. Very happy with how this came out and it's so useful with my PB. Have yet to try it with tetrax and will make a lid for the bottom eventually.[/img]
