I've just started another batch. All the parts are on their way to the assembler and the PCBs are being fabbed. I don't imagine it will be too long. 8 weeks perhaps if I can get through them quickly.

Thanks for asking.

Regards,

Scott

Lots of prototype PCBs just came in... Very exciting. The mic pres are the first I'll be working on. Can't wait to hear what they sound like...

Hi Scott, just chiming in to say that I'm really interested in a quality mic to modular level preamp, preferably one that can take a wide range of signals from mic levels to line and possibly? above.

IMO a transformer on the inputs is a nice option but not a must as many wigglers, myself included, already have different DIs to experiment with.

Assuming the preamp is a balanced design, a transformer on the output is an interesting option. And lots of clean gain of course.

I've been keeping an eye on your futurefuture page for a long while and trust you will come up a quality design that will make a lot of us happy!

God, I'm bonering sooooo hard for that preamp. I dropped everything that wasn't modular not too long ago and that's the biggest thing I miss is a decent pre.

Soon - very soon. I had all the big stuff that takes a while to get in, but was missing a few smaller parts and have a Newark order in with those...

I do have two circuits... One's transformerless with THAT preamp ICs which will be able to be pretty cheap and should fit most racks. The transformer circuit is heavy and deep. I'm back to working on them now that the last batch of 'ios are on their way to Analogue Haven.

Damn this looks good! Will you also sell it in a DIY version? I'd be rather interested in that!

Are you still working on the DSP? and if so can you tell me a little more about it? Those stretching demos you put out were insane!

Still working on it! The biggest job was getting the algorithms migrated from SHARC to the TI chip. That's finally done and now I'm working on gluing together a generalized controller framework (midi, CV, etc) to the DSP and CV algorithms.

After that, I'll be finalizing the boards and getting the linux drivers worked out for CV and audio i/o.

I started a wiki to cover things from a more technical perspective and to track progress a little easier:

Excited to hear this project is still going on an quietly hoping the once projected footprint of 30HP still stands. Will keep following progress here.
