Juno 66 - Bender problem / pitch wobble when DCO to max

Post by juno72 » Sat May 19, 2018 7:56 am

Hi,

just installed the Juno66 and everything is working fine except for the bender. When I position the lever either to min/max the pitch is varying as if there a lfo is attached, sort of wobbles along, sometime it jumps back and forth between pitches randomly. The issue is getting less aparent when turning down the DCO slider on the bender board while most audible and annoying when on its full up position.

Now since the base pitch was off, to it tried modifying the VR1 and VR2 trim pots on the board. Dumb thing is that VR1 is not reacting at all to any modification/turning. Anyway, tuning makes no sense as I don't get a consistent tone on the min max positions.

All of it worked fine until the Tubbutec installation. I checked the installation and as far as I can see there was no issue. Sounds to me as if the values wouldnt fit?

Any ideas?

Cheers
Tom

ImageI'm having the exact same issue. Just finished installation, and wobble problem. Also bender doesn't appear to respond to midi sent from my midi controller.

I take the last part back. Bender DOES respond to midi.

The wobble issue only occurs for me when pitch bend is to the left or -. Bending pitch up or to the right works fine.

I re-examined my solders and was able to fix it. I believe the stem from the 20k resistor was making contact and grounding out.
