No, I've counted 263 chars, but can't see other people's signatures too

Not to beat a dead horse but I'm also echoing that the site definitely has a way to go aesthetic / layout wise. It's a bit.. jarring.

Some things outright are impacting the usability but should be easy to fix I think:

- The stickied posts used to be separated above the rest in their own section, but now are confusingly almost-identical looking to normal threads save for the slightly-different-shaped graphic symbol. If they can have their own little section like before that would be appreciated.

- The font/graphic indicator sizes on thread titles greatly reduced the number of thread titles you can see at once in a forum; if I could comment on that it'd be that I preferred the dense, efficient formatting (and neutral color scheme, gray will never go out of style).

Also all those charming smilies are gone too :deadbanana:

On the plus there's a color scheme for logged in/logged out, maybe something cool can be done with that.

Regarding signatures maybe they are disabled in this section since I can see mine correctly in other sections of the forum.

I'm having an issue I used to have on the old site ages ago, where it just will not stay logged in at all for me. I've always had issues with it logging me out between browser sessions, but now I frequently have to log back in during the same dang session. It's a little frustrating, to put it mildly.

(I.e., I actually had to log back in in between the reply form and the successful posting of this reply.)

Awesome work on the migration! Glad to see the forum on modern software.

One visual glitch, if it hasn't already been mentioned previously: if you choose the Dark Mode theme (as I try to do on every site that supports a dark theme), the graphic at the top of the page is blinding white. It appears to be a dark-specific graphic so it should be a simple matter to make a dark version when someone gets around to it.

Yes, a weeks worth of posts are gone from the backup used to transition the site. It’s been brought up many times here already. I think it would be more trouble than it’s worth to try and merge them back now especially when Rob is battling so many other fires at this point.

Glad to see the forums are back, and even more so, WHOOOOO A DARK THEME!!!

I believe you can set that in your profile settings and on a thread by thread basis if you want. Haven't experimented with it yet.

I've set up a Trello board to more easily keep track of all the issue;

Great job and many thanks Rob! Glad to see Muffwiggler going on and continue.

Well might take some time to acclimate myself with the new layout... starring for years onto the same layout has scarved it's traces into my brain, but i'm pretty sure it will take not so long to adjust to the new one.

Look very nice with the "old-school" PHPbb style.

Seems to work.

User Control Panel - Board Preferences - Edit Display Options - you can set topics or posts to globally display either ascending (oldest first) or descending (newest first).

If you want to do it per thread, click the "order" icon at the bottom of a thread - it's to the right of the post reply button.

Can we have the "20 most recent posts" on the list as well ( https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/exte ... t_topics_2 ) ?

And why not, Collapsible Categories (so one can hide all the manufacturers forums) ?
