Hey, 37 full-size keys, at least! I hate the keybed on the minilogue...

Can't listen to demos yet but I'm tentatively GASing. :omg:

This looks inspiring IMO.

Are the filters digital or analog? I notice that it says ‘modeled’.

Didn't Loopop mention microtonal capabilities? Or maybe I just spotted a menu for them during one of those videos...

I *really* don't want another keysynth, but this looks like fun for YEARS. Augh!

If it has the microtuning features of the minilogue / prologue series, I'm all in. Hopefully the manual will be posted soon.
Manual doesn't say too much it seems but at least it has a screenshot where you can define global scale and on the screenshot there's equal and Kirnberger temperaments mentioned. Not sure if it's the same way as minilogue
It has 10 preset scales according to Loopop on YT. It doesn't have the same implementation as the Minilogue XD etc.

Well, that would probably save me from impulse buy for now.
But with custom samples and temperaments it would be an amazing performance instrument.
Hopefully they will add it later.

So it has begun?
Are going to be selling our modular synths now for digital 80's, 90's synths?

Joking aside, it seems fun, some nice sounds probably more because of the vector thingy that the wave sequence which I can't say I understand the
usefulness.
I am waiting though for the price.
But if it is like the ios app, I don't know...I couldn't pocket the money for it.

This was a bit out of the blue, but very welcome.

I had one of the first Wavestations (serial number in the low 20s; it had the LFO bug that was corrected after the first hundred or so were made). I loved that synth and probably knew it better than any instrument I've owned before or synth, and the Wavestate addresses pretty much all the issues I had with the original (polyphony limitations, terrible filters, LFOs that don't get nearly fast enough). I never use aftertouch so the omission is no biggie.

I haven't seen mention made in any of the videos I've watched, but:

- Does it implement hard sync like the original did?
- I don't see any mention of portamento. Is it in the feature set?

Pity about the lack of hard sync. Not a dealbreaker though.

The demo definitely sounds great. This seems like a thoughtful and well-executed evolution of the original. Looking forward to checking out the Wavestate in person.

I can't get past that it responds to poly AT...yet the dang keyboard doesn't even have mono AT...in 2020.
I thought about this a bunch today. They made several wavestations, and if we are lucky we might get a few of these. A desktop version seems like it wouldn’t take them very much work to make, might be cheaper than the keyboard version. There are some MPE controllers that offer poly AT that I would probably consider pairing with one of these, and that would be a decent compromise. I would love to see them also make one that has a 61 key keybed and at least include mono AT and additional outputs. I find the second option less likely, but we will have to wait and see I guess. :despair:

i find 37 keys to be an ideal footprint. desktop versions are nice but i really feel more inspired when it comes with a set of keys attached

Oh my some of these samples sound so 80s/90s/romplers :hihi:

The lane sequencers looks interesting.

Unless I am mistaken, the effects parameters are not mod destinations.
I think any synths with fx, should have their fx part of the synthesis and so have their parameters as mod destination.

Any reason to think fx parameters AREN'T mod destinations? The manual doesn't have a list, but it seems all the other knobs can be used as destinations.

Seems like it does indeed modulate some of the fx parameters :yay:
From the musicradar review:

"There’s a wide variety of emulated delays and reverbs included too, and most of the effects can be modulated from the synth’s main mod matrix."

Opinions about best place to preorder in US? Was thinking Sweetwater, but I've finally gotten them to leave me alone after my last purchase 5 years ago. 8-)

What the hell is that on the wall? Looks like a huge synth with built-in speakers. Could it be a show floor prop?

I actually don’t mind their phone calls (not that I pick up), something “old school” about it. I’m not sure if I’ll have the money in time but I preordered one from them, they don’t change until it’s ready to ship, and will call to confirm what card to run etc. knowing that I told them as much regarding my cash flow. I could not be happier with Sweetwater although I wish they would send out better candies.
