First recorded song on my eurorack

Post by patched » Thu Mar 12, 2020 10:43 am

Hi! Just patched and recorded my first song this afternoon. Thought I'd share!

Chord changes were controlled manually with the penrose quantizer.
One mute for pwm on melody, one for some wet filter sounds, one for steady kick and one for kick to follow melody.
In the final part I just played around with the delay parameters (Erica DIY BBD)

Enjoy :tu:

Nice tune. Forgive me, but I must ask - is the background noise deliberate? :?

Haha nope, don't know what creates it but there is some noticeable noise when connecting to my laptop mic-in. I think it's because of a crappy computer, I have recorded with a friend before using an external audio card and it had no noticeable noise.

Neat tune - my head kept adding a simple bass drum on a regular beat to it. Everytime I thought I heard a regular rhythm, a new little unexpected rhythm would show up.

You should invest a little in your recording set up when you can, you clearly have talent :tu:

Thanks, the penrose sends a trigger when the output cv changes so by triggering the kick with that it is possible to throw in some fill-y part easily :)

Thanks for the kind words  I'll get something when I have the money for it, but I'm a poor student atm so gotta prioritize. But I'll keep it in mind!
