I’ve had quite a few of them at one point or another and the two I wouldn’t mind still having if I had the space are the piston honda and bionic lester but apart from some quirks that were fun the mkIII’s are entirely worth upgrading to. The two I don’t mind not having anymore is the hertz donut along with the malgorithm, really didn’t get along with either of them when I had them.
You’ll have to pry the double andore and tyme sefari away from my cold dead hands though.
To add to the discussion sputnik modular stuff. He’s moved on to different/better things but I kinda wish he was still around since I really liked his take on buchla over the verbose ones.

This is my answer too. Simple, elegant designs. Getting harder to find without commanding a premium yet.

Surprised we got this far and no one mentioned QMMG
. Given the scarcity and environmental unfriendliness of vactrols, one can only assume that LxD and Optomix will be discontinued at some point.
what makes them unfriendly to the environment more than other chips?
It's the cadmium in the LDR. Interesting article
here.

Sport Modulator and the Malekko/Ward JAG. Those are the only two that I miss after selling them.

Small, beautiful and discontinued, but still available: grab yourselves an NE Sinc Iter while stocks last.

Most of my rig is now discontinued
But highlights are the Moskwa and the ModCan stuff, Brainseed and my pair of Analog Memory modules that hook up to the pressure points.

Loved my RXMX/FXDF combo. I would buy both in a heartbeat if I had enough free space to give them a home.
I also enjoyed the hell out of the OG Chronoblob.
RYO Optodist (pretty sure it's discontinued too)
Phonogene was great (although I have the Morphagene in its stead).
Modcan CV Record

Wow. That escalated quickly!
Lots of modules to look into here. Thanks everyone for expanding my (and other’s too!) horizons.

All the Sputnik modules; Xaoc Moskwa (but there is supposed to be a Mk II coming); Modcan dual delay and FMVDO; Clouds. I don't have a Sport Modulator but I wish I had grabbed one when I could. HexInverter Orbitals was a great sequencer that I never bought when it was available.

I have a bit of an obsession with disco'd modules and currently have in my setup -
RxMx/FxDf/Control File (attached to dpo)
Mysteron
Clouds
Erica Synths Swamp
OG MN Wogglebug
Phonogene
MMG
Frequensteiner (sorta available again I guess)
Piston Honda Mk1
Erica Pico T-G (This thing is so dope if you can find one)
NE Sinclastic Empulatrix
Dreadbox Splash
I can vouch for each and every one of these being amazing in their own special way.

the macromachines Storage Strip. i'm surprised no one has made a replacement for it. it's such an obvious hole in the market.

Is the Orgone Accumulator still available? If it is, it’s one of the best modules ever. If it’s not, find one and pay whatever you can for it!!

Huh? Has that been officially confirmed? I was told a while back by one of the US distributors that he was rebooting with a Mk2 line of modules. The Sputnik website is still up and there appears to be images of new (or new to me, at least) modules up there... Did he say he was shutting down, somewhere?

Modcan stuff, I unfortunately sold all their osc's and dual delay and I can't say I miss them that much but I did sell a Dual Freq Shifter and ended up buying it back after waiting a while for one to pop up. Won't make that mistake again since I'll probably never find one again. Would never sell my Quad LFO. Runner up is Toppobrillo stuff, all top notch. I miss my sport mod and multifilter (are they still making those?) but still have the TWF. Also, the old Borg 2. Sold it and got the dual borg and it wasn't quite the same so I had to buy the old one back again. In regards to the QMMG, I recommended my friend get one as he was starting his modular many years ago. It was ok, but not a holy grail. He did end up probably doubling his money though when he sold it and I doubt he misses it much.

i heard he sold the company ad all the designs. that's why his new venture has a new name. he's left eurorack for good i think.

Confundo Funkitus. It’s a great performance oriented module. So glad I snatched it right as it was being discontinued.
