Changing Mutable LEDs
I am red/green colourblind making many LEDs, including those on Mutable modules unreadable. Has anyone succeeded in changed these around with Red/Blue/White or Magenta/Blue/Yellow LEDs? If so a part number would be hugely helpful, random guesswork on Ebay has not suceeded so far!

Re: Changing Mutable LEDs
It would generally be a fairly easy swap mechanically, but the main issue would be to find an LED which has a similar luminosity per colour to the originals, especially for ones that mix two colours to provide a third. For three-colour LEDs with four legs, it shouldn't be too much of a problem. You may have to change a resistor or two if you're using white LEDs just to bring the brightness down.

Re: Changing Mutable LEDs
Sorry if this is too obvious - but (most of) the mi digital modules have a colour blind mode - may be worth trying that if it is a digital module that you are having issues with.
Physically changing the leds would be trivial but definitely check the current draw and any associated current limiting resistors (as some of the leds are straight off the mcu or off led driver ics) if you do change the leds

Re: Changing Mutable LEDs
MI forum has a few threads about the question of colour blind mode.
