Modcan Dual VDO

Post by Soviet Space Child » Tue Jan 26, 2010 7:44 pm

Hey guys,

So what are the origins of the wavetables found in Modcan's Dual VDO module? Are they completely original? An homage to synths from the past? Or a combination of the two?

Edit: I'm retracting my answer, just in case, after somebody raised a concern. :sadbanana:

Firmware by DSP designer Eric Brombaugh probably knows and maybe drop a line to Bruce or check the yahoo user groups message history.. it may be posted there in a message post.

Sorry - I've got no clue where the waveforms came from. Bruce gave them to me as raw data which I merely formatted for use with the toolchain. :despair:

I believe they are hand picked from various Miniwave ROMs and then interpolated to 12-bit. They sound completely different from the ROMs due to this (plus the blend control).
