A cool module that enables this kind of thing in a more dedicated fashion is Hexinverter's seqSquared -

Not readily available in 5U, but could certainly be built in 5U/MU if one wanted that to happen.

Yeah, I actually looked at that a while ago. I was going to ask my Dad to build it for me (I think there was a 5U kit). But I didn't want to have to wait a year or two, plus it'd be a rather complex build for him.

I forgot about that... but can this run to 16 steps or would it need an external module? Either way, it obviously takes up more room. A dual would be interesting for MU though.

the quad simpleseq with the seqsquared can in theory do 32 steps...
