I've not heard of her until recently, but she has some absolutely marvelous easel music coming out.

She was in that Moog Modular video. Really impressive stuff. M geddes Gengras too. I think people like that can make good music regardless of what kind of equipment they are on.
tomerbe
just checked this out - really great stuff...
Thee Loving Hand
really enjoying this. thanks for the tip off.

I'm really digging on this track from her next album, EARS.

KAS: "In recording EARS, my intention was to take audiences on a sonic motion ride through a futuristic jungle. My hope is that, on a straight-through listen, in a darkened room, on a loud stereo, EARS will inspire a rich visual narrative in listeners' minds."

Yes! This new track is so delicious. I missed out on seeing her supporting Panda Bear in NYC back in October... Hoping she makes it over to London sometime soon.

The new album is great.

Nice little video too.
First few seconds of Existence in the Unfurling sounds just like Mylo's Muscle Cars

Awesome video! Thanks for sharing this. I really like what she's got going on. How about all the Studio Electronics- that big synth is sexy as all get out!

Great thread, thanks!

I really dig that Arthropoda track. Her compositions on these are fantastic. So many times I hear the same ambient drone-ness to modular. She really has some beautiful music.
noisejockey
Super inspiring and, yeah, super strong music. Thanks for getting her work firmly on my radar!
TheNavigator
Just finished listening to te first run through of the EARS album while making dinner and cleaning.

I really enjoyed it. The vocals are haunting and beautiful and her use of the Buchla Easel was so organic.

Well played, KAS.
