Mutable Instruments - Warps

Post by chapelier fou » Mon Dec 22, 2014 11:23 am

[Translation from Olivier Gillet / source : http://www.synthe-modulaire.com/t2249p2 ... nstruments]

Warps :

10-HP, 2 audio In, 2 audio Out.

"Super modulator" allowing to make cross modulation with 2 sounds. Different algorithms (ringmod, crossfolding, bit-to-bit mixing) with morphing between them (with a big knob a la Frames), a Tibre parameter using wavetables of response curves (for the wavefolder shape, non-linearity of the ring modulation, shape of the crossfade...) and a distorsion VCA on each input. Digital, 576kHz.

+ internal oscillator which can replace one input (going to one of the outpus for cross patching)

+ a few spectral hybridations between sources, including a vocoder.

Available in june/july

Carrier gain (or internal carrier osc pitch), modulator gain, algorithm and response/color are all CVable with continuous morphing/interpolation.

Part of the answer is in the first post. Once we get closer to release a price should appear.

on vacations for 5-6 days, so you'll have to wait unless someone who was at saturday's event posts a pic.

Mutables is killing it lately. I'm quickly switching to an entirely Mutables rack. This sounds amazing too

Having a hard time understanding how this will sound just from the text description :hmm: But it does sound crazy enough for me to want it!

Was the demo of this recorded and online at all? I fell asleep just as Olivier finished demo'ing Streams :waah:
