What should be in a next zthee/serge panel?

Post by mono-poly » Tue Feb 16, 2010 7:09 am

What stuff do you guys wanna see in a next zthee panel?

I love to see/do a dedicated Ian Fritz panel for example.
Including:

★Threeler Multi-VCF
★ChaQuO Chaos/ Quad Osc
★Jerkster Chaos
★Dual T/G/T/S/H
★5Pulser Waveshaper
★Teezer Through-Zero VCO

What do you guys think about this?
I'm not sure about the Threeler yet but i love to include 2 Teezers.

I don't feel much for a drum panel.

The one on zthee's twitter is nice but i don't feel much for the filters in it.
We might do a filter/osc panel at one point perhaps.

I like Zthee's bizarre panel, but I also like the idea of a drum panel.

I thought they were a little out of place. Replace them with a pair of slopes & this would make a great panel to work with the "Voice" & "Sequencer" panels :D

I like the zthee panel but instead of the filter maybe:

- master divider
- psycho lfo

-VCS or ADSR
-Filter. I would like the serge 77 filter or the wasp filter instead of the ones used now. But that is perhaps not so bizarre

I tottaly agree on the filter coment.
But maybe it would be cooler to do a panel with filters and sound generators?

The Bizarre of CGS is very WIP.

I'm not so pleased with it right now.
It needs more CV generators..

I like to think of each panel as a stand alone unit. I.e. it should function by itself just as it is. And this does not fill the criteria right now.

I've got some ideas though...

The problem is the 73 Serge filter is that it takes up just 1". And that will not look pretty.

The way I'd like to do the wasp filter, will require a lot of extra circuitry. As I'd like to have the distortion unit free floating and all individual outputs on the panel.

I personally don't like the Synthacon filter. And will probably never design a panel with it.

Zthee has something up his sleeve for the bizarre panel. :sb:

The tzfm I always wanted to build is this layout from Zthee:

That's not gonna work. It'll be even worse..

The only way to do it would be to do it like the original paper-face panels from '73.

zthees bizzrre panel looks really good, I have been designing a very similar panel myself (but only for function/cv purposes) some time ago but if theres gonna be a groupbuy I´m in. I could post a pic of my design, mayby get some ideas out of it... How about some burst generators on this panel??
