Frac modules in MFB 3U euro frame + JAG/CTL1-video

Post by 11ish » Tue Feb 16, 2010 12:32 pm

i started using an MFB 3U euro frame for Frac controller modules. Although you can screw them in only at the upper rail, they sit firm and tight.

The Blacet PSU can be mounted behind the JAG for example:

Unlike pictured here, I re-mounted the PSU a little bit further in, so that the frame
can be positioned like this:

At the top Frac modules are longer of course than euro ones, but at the bottom they fit exactly:

and here's what i've been doing with these lately:

yes, i ordered one as soon as the wiard site was updated in June 2007, because i'd already loved my JAG to death.
i still have the new controller, but i'm using it with my frac case (having Miniwave, DAD and multiples on the way to fill the gaps):

Interesting. Does it look as though one could just drill a couple new holes and reposition the other rail to make the MFB 3U euro frame into an MFB 3U frac frame?

should be possible, i guess. but my idea is to use it for both frac and euro - or at least to retain the possibility to do so.
