favorite wire for 1/8" (ish) patch cables

Post by modularland » Thu Feb 18, 2010 10:07 am

Okay gang, I'm gonna brew my own Buchla audio cables...

I'm going to use Switchcraft 750s which are spec'd to
"be used with cables up to .188 inch outside diameter"

http://www.switchcraft.com/products/jack-140.html

anyone have any favorite wire (with mouser/digikey part#) that they like for this kind of thing?

Thanks

+1 canare.

I use the Neutrik NYS 226L plugs $0.66 each http://www.redco.com/shopexd.asp?id=1269

and canare gs-4 mini instrument cable $0.42/foot http://www.redco.com/shopexd.asp?id=542

I got shrink tubing for these to add full length color. I have been really happ with the quality.
