Modular Drums with TS-21 Hellfire

Post by Cat-A-Tonic » Mon Jul 28, 2008 9:47 pm

Noodling around with a modular drum patch.
It shows off a bit of Metasonix TS-21 processing Boss Dr. Pad III (smashing glass)
The Moog MuRF was used for the backing track. Its signal is just feedback from itself and the rest of the patch and it is being controlled by Blacet modules.

That's rad! For some reason, it made me think of Mega Man.
Now I want to listen to that while playing Mega Man.

I appreciate all of the feedback from you guys.
It really gives me a boost. :coffee:
I'll be sure to post more sounds.

If you would like a download please end me a PM with your email address and I'll send you the file.

I typed more patch details, but I think I timed out on the preview and erased everything. BAKA
Bug me if you are curious about anything in the patch and I'll try it again.

BAKA, isn't that a swear?
Baka means stupid/foolish to varying degrees depending on context.
Baka Ona for example could either mean foolish woman or stupid bitch depending on intonation.
pretty fuckin sick! breaking glass and tubes, love it.
Yeah, that Dr. Pad III is pretty useful with the modular and they are always on ebay for about $20!

Here is another track. I think it shows the softer side of the TS-21.
http://share.ovi.com/media/Cat-A-Tonic. ... onic.10007
Metasonix TS-21 Hellfire Modulator acting as a Tube Rectifier Preamp to add color to Modular Drums... Half of the mix is using the Beam Screen CV as an auxilary input.
Pattern changes are from changing the CV source to the Metalbox Pulse Divider/Logic that is running the sequence.
Other mods. used:
Blacet - VCO, Binary Zone, I/O, Window Comp., EG1, VCA Quad Mix, Dual Lin. VCA
CGS - Dual Drum
STG - Wave Folder, Yves Usson Gate Delay
Metasonix - TM-3 Dual Thyratron VCO
Boss - Dr. Pad III
